These Strawberry Overnight Oats taste like strawberries and cream in breakfast form. They’re fresh, lightly sweet, and a perfect option when you want something nourishing and easy to prep the night before.

Highlights & Benefits

  • Fruit-forward flavour: Strawberry jam + frozen strawberries = sweet, bright flavour.
  • Simple ingredients: Pantry staples + frozen fruit.
  • Meal-prep approved: Make a few jars at once for the week.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ⅔ cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • A handful of frozen strawberries (optional to roughly chop before adding)

Directions

  1. Add oats, chia seeds, and salt to a jar or container. Stir to mix.
  2. Add the strawberry jam and chopped frozen strawberries.
  3. Pour in the milk and maple syrup (if using). Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
  5. In the morning, give it a good stir. Add a splash of milk if it’s too thick.

Optional toppings: fresh strawberries, Greek yogurt, more jam.

Optional Add-Ins & Variations

  • High-protein: Mix in ¼ scoop vanilla protein powder and add a splash of extra milk.
  • Creamier: Stir in 2–3 tablespoon Greek yogurt before refrigerating.
  • Strawberry cheesecake vibe: Add a small dollop of yogurt and crushed graham cracker on top.

Storage

Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

FAQs: Strawberry Overnight Oats

Can I use fresh strawberries?

Yes slice them and add directly into the jar.

Will frozen strawberries make it watery?

No, the chia seeds help thicken everything as it sits

Can I skip the jam?

Yes, but it adds flavour. If skipping, consider adding an extra handful of berries.

Are overnight oats actually healthy?

Yes — overnight oats are a healthy, balanced breakfast option for most people. They’re made with whole rolled oats, which are rich in fibre (especially beta-glucan), a type of soluble fibre that helps support heart health, digestion, and stable blood sugar levels. Because the oats soak overnight, they’re easier to digest and can feel gentler on the stomach compared to cooked oats.
