Equipment

  • Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
  • Ninja Creami pint container
  • Milk frother or mini whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula or spoon

Tips for Delicious Ice Cream

  • Use natural peanut butter for a clean, rich flavour.
  • If your peanut butter is thick, warm it slightly before mixing.
  • Add chopped peanuts or chocolate chips using the Mix-In setting for crunch.
  • Want a firmer ice cream? Freeze for 20–30 minutes after spinning

Substitutions, Variations, and Dietary Restrictions

Dairy-free: Use almond, oat, or soy milk to make it completely plant-based.

Sweetener swap: Use honey or a sugar-free syrup instead of maple syrup.

Flavour twist:

  • Chocolate peanut butter: Add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • PB&J: Swirl in a teaspoon of jam before freezing
  • Salted peanut: Add a pinch of flaky sea salt on top after spinning

FAQs:

Can I use crunchy peanut butter?

Yes! It will give the ice cream more texture, but for a smoother consistency, use smooth PB.

Why is my ice cream crumbly?

The Ninja Creami often needs a second spin. Add a splash of milk and re-spin for best results.

Can I reduce the sweetness?

Absolutely. You can halve the maple syrup or omit it entirely if using sweetened protein powder.
