Why Make Your Own Oat Milk?

Store-bought oat milk is a great, convenient option, but making it at home allows you to control the ingredients and experiment with different flavours. It’s an easy, fun way to customize your plant-based milk.

Health Benefits of Oat Milk

Oat milk is a great dairy-free alternative that provides:

  • Fibre: Oats contain beta-glucan, a type of soluble fibre that supports heart health.
  • Naturally Sweet Taste: Unlike some plant milks, oat milk has a mild sweetness without added sugars.
  • Dairy-Free & Vegan-Friendly: A great option for those avoiding dairy.
  • Customizable: You can add vanilla, cinnamon, or even cocoa powder for different flavour variations.

FAQs

Can I use quick oats or steel-cut oats?

Rolled oats work best. Quick oats may create a slimy texture, and steel-cut oats require longer soaking.

This is natural! Just shake it well before using.

Can I flavour my oat milk?

Can I flavour my oat milk?
Yes! Try adding cinnamon, cocoa powder, or even a date for extra sweetness.
