Who says mocktails are boring? Try out my citrus mocktail beverage this season!

Just because you don’t drink alcohol whether it’s for health, lifestyle, Dry January, or simply a personal choice, doesn’t mean you should miss out on the joy of sipping something bright and bubbly during the holidays or throughout the whole year.

Citrus Mocktail in glass with a knom on it

Ingredients

  • Club soda
  • 1 fresh lime juiced
  • Orange slices
  • Rosemary sprig
  • Cranberries

How to Make It

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Add freshly squeezed lime juice.
  3. Add a few orange slices
  4. Top with club soda
  5. Finish with a rosemary sprig
  6. Add cranberries and a lime wedge

Optional: Turn It Into a Cocktail

Hosting and want to offer both versions? This mocktail easily transforms into a cocktail with:

  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Prosecco
  • White wine

Tips for Dry January (or Any Alcohol-Free Season!)

Try these to elevate your mocktail game:

1. Use a fun glass.

2. Add a reusable straw

3. Garnish

4. Add ice or frozen fruit

FAQ: Citrus Mocktial

Can I make this citrus mocktail ahead of time?

Yes, but mix the lime juice and orange slices together in the fridge, but don’t add the club soda until you’re ready to serve. This keeps the drink bubbly and fresh.

What can I use instead of club soda?

You can swap club soda for sparkling water, tonic water, or lemon-lime soda if you want a slightly sweeter option. For a flavored twist, try orange sparkling water.

Can I make this drink sweeter?

Absolutely! If you prefer a sweeter mocktail, add a splash of simple syrup, honey syrup, or agave, or muddle a couple of orange slices directly in the glass.

What other garnishes work well?

This drink loves fresh herbs! Try mint, thyme, or basil, or add additional citrus slices like lemon or grapefruit for extra colour.

What alcohol pairs best if I choose to spike it?

The best options are gin, vodka, prosecco, or white wine.
